Well what can I say about your music? It hits everyone in a good way. I love everything about it. I'm a mom of three. I'm married and it's nice to hear things that mom's need to hear. I may be getting older but i ain't dead yet is my theme song. Thank you so much for writing the songs that you write. I hope to hear more in the future. The first time i heard any from Ashton was about a month ago and i was goin out to eat with my cousins. They put the cd in, played a couple of songs and before we could get out of the car i was sayin 'whoa, whoa, who is this girl?' I was blowed away by this whole cd. Its bout time our generation (im 21), had someone who came out with some good, and real country music. Where im from, sneads ferry nc, we mostly like the older country such as Jones, Twitty, Waylon, Williams, Hag, Whitley, as well as some of the good artists from the 80-90s like Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and Tracy Lawrence, because its real country. A few months ago I saw Ashton's "takin' off this pain" video on t.v. and I had heard "sounds so good" a few times and I thought, wow! I reallyl love these songs. Then around Thanksgiving I saw the at home with Ashton special and I though I have got to watch this. Thank goodness I dvr'ed it! I watched it so many times so I could listen to the songs. Not too long after that a friend of mine gave me the cd for Christmas! Ashton, I love your cd. I am so thankful there is someone sining about real life, and sometimes it feels like your singing about my life. I turned 18, graduated, got married 2 months later, moved into my husband's daddy's single wide trailer, then came my little baby. It's been almost 8 years since then and until I heard "I aint dead yet" I never felt like anyone was singing songs I could relate to. You are a real insperation to a lot of people. The things you sing about are what happen and how most people feel around where I live. It is so awesome to have someone tell how real people feel who live real life! An incredibly impressive debut. And what a voice! To these English ears your accent is unbelievably seductive, and the fact that you write your own material makes it so much more 'real'. I got the album the day before yesterday, and it's been played more than a few times since then. Please don't be like so many American Country Music stars and ignore your overseas fans. We are starved of Country Music coverage in this country, we don't even get CMT for the last ten years or more, but I think you would be surprised at how knowledgeable fans over here are. Ashton after seeing you on tour your as awesome as I thought you would be hope 2 see you in Nashville on the next appearance. I tell all my friends about how great you are.
