Congradulations on the sucess of in color! Fantastic old school country song. Has been a while since I have heard a Great country song with a powerful message and brought many of my own memories back in color!! Best of luck to you.
IN COLOR
This is the best song i've ever and do mean EVER heard. It reminds me of my time growing up on my grandparents farm in the 80's and 90's. I can remember going out to work with my grand dad and listening to his stories about growing up during the dust bowl and depression in the OK panhandle. Every time I hear this song it makes this 6"2' 280 lb. over the road trucker bawl like a baby thinking of my grandparents. Thank you so much for this song.

You say your sound is somewhere between jennings and jones. I couldn't agree with you more! On the track, The Lonesome Song, you can listen to the steel guitar and hear the train running the track, horn just a blaring. I haven't heard anything like that since Folson Prison Blues. I am only twenty six, but I was raised up to love Hank Sr. Waylon Willie all the good old country and until this album I wasn't really seriously impressed with country, with a few exceptions. I can tell you that any album that has your name on it will be in my cd collection. As a songwriter of sorts, I have to say thank you for giving me something to live up to. I hope one day that we might be able to get together and write something that will touch somebody where this cd has touched me. P.S. i am listening to the album as i type.

I agree with all of the comments posted. This is the best Country song I have heard in a long time. You have nailed it with this song. I keep listening to it over and over and can't get enough of it. IT'S AWESOME!!!!

Very few times in my life have I heard a song which comes along where you can actually hear the heartbeat of America.
In Color is one of those songs. When I hear it I pause...I think of my grandpa, my grandma, dad, mom, wife, son.....everone in my life I've loved.

There are good country songs and there are some great country songs. Every once in awhile someone actually writes a perfect country song. This is a perfect country song. It touches the very soul.
It reminds me so much of my Grandpa. He was a Great Depression survivor, a WWII Navy vet and he was married to Grandma until the day he died in 1982. I couldn't have asked for a better role model. He was a great man and I was greatly blessed to have had him as a grandfather. Not a day passes that I do not miss him.
I get choked up every time I hear this song and I can't hear it enough. Thanks, Jamey

I don't think people realize and appreciate how tough it is to write, sing and play your own music - you have that talent and you've written and co-written #1'a for guys like George Strait and Trace Adkins.

Who would have ever thought you would have been so successful? I remember the days when you would bring your guitar to the field whether it was Ft. Rucker, Al. or 29 Palms, California while you were in the Marines. Those were memorable days! Congrats for all your success! Keep the great songs coming!

I can not wait for the new album to come out. "In Color" is an amazing song. Country music really needs Jamey Johnson. Im happy to finally see an artist come out that is REAL and not trying to put on a fashion show.

this may very well be the best written country song ever, and his voice is phenomenal, this is one of those songs that just grabs you and doesn't let go, I don't think I will ever get tired of listening to this song.

Whether this song ever becomes the #1 that it deserves to be or not, people who hear it, and really hear it, are changed forever. This is one of those rare songs that speaks real life.
Congratulations Jamey, your voice is so raw, powerful and real. I cried the first time I heard that song because I could hear my grandpa's voice speaking through yours.
