I always said i would never be with a married man, i even hated woman that would go and do that....This song fits me right now all the way. I hate my self for falling in love with a marry man. I guess i learn my lesson, i shouldnt judge others and never say never.

11/12/2009 12:48 AM (GMT-08:00)I lost my husband in 1981 at the age of 38 years old. I was 36 years old and I have been a widow since. This song is my life. I just happend to find this man who I knew but not real well. He was not a stranger. Yes, he was and still is to this day married. He told me he was getting a divorce. After, our second date he brought some clothes and lived with me for 2 plus years. Stayed with me all week and he worked too. On Sundays he had to make that trip to check on his teenage daughter so he said. When that time came it was always a upset for me to except. So, I even found another man that I would spend time with and visit with. To ease the pain. Until, one day I just put clothes and all things out side my door. And, always felt that he should of never ask to see me in the begining. And, to this day I am glad for him he is with his wife. This is 24 years later. Yes! I am still a widow. In the begining he told me his wife wasn't to live long that is the part that I think of often. Long story short he is just a man SOME will say anything, anytime, anyway!! And she said theres alot of songs about , the woman , and her man leaving for the other woman. She said it was Reba Mcintyres song "Weekend in New England" that inspired her to look at the feelings of "the other woman"

6/11/2009 8:43 PM (GMT-08:00)Being a guy and a rock-n-roller since the 1970s I must say that Jennifer and kristian absolutely blew me away. STAY is the most beautiful and heartfelt ballad I have ever heard. I'd be a liar if I said that it has not brought a tear or two to my eyes on more than one occasion. I am a dedicated fan and have found a whole new venue of music to listen too. Still a rock-n-roller though!!! I fully intend to see Sugarland live ASAP. Also,the chemistry between Jennifer and Kristen really makes the videos work. Kristen is subtle in his style but it works bigtime!

NOW I MUST ADMIT I AM A HARDCORE R&B FAN...BUT WHEN I SAW THEM PERFORM THIS ON THE GRAMMYS...I HAD TO SEARCH FOR THIS SONG AND REALLY LISTEN TO THE LYRICS. AND THEN I SAW THE VIDEO AND ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. I've been a listener of country and bluegrass music for over 50 years and never have I seen a song sung with such raw emotion as this one. It is country singing at it's finest! I gotta say something to the gal who thought the song was terrible. What about the music...the voice...the way it was sung with such raw emotion? This song shows the side of the other woman, and what they've gone through. You get the sense of it being pure h*ll. Doesn't look to be a bed I'd want to lay in. Maybe it'll teach some gals something, give them pause. Country songs are about life, real life, the good times and the bad ones. Jennifer did a wonderful job singing the song, the music is beautiful and haunting. Love it!

THEN I played the video. You did an amazing job with the words, the music , and the emotion of the song on the video
Ths is my life and I pray that someday I'm gonna have the courage to follow the ending and move on to a better place. I play this all the time and I cry EVERYTIME. .

To who ever wrote that "Stay" was awful, maybe you should use the song to help you get over what happened. Country music is about life. For someone to write a song that stirs emotions is very hard these days. "Stay" is a song that makes people think, those who have lived this event in their life and those who have not. To some, they take the song as if it were written just for them. Maybe this one was written just for you. I remember the first time I saw the video, I stopped dead in my tracks and was glued to the performance Jennifer put on. Maybe they did the song to show people what it does to people when they are put in that type of situation. A slight change of the words and it could easily be a woman using two men. Your missing out on a song that will be heard for many years to come.

My mother was HURT because of what my father did. He hurt us all. That other woman ruined my family. We were once happy. The normal family. Until one day my dad drifted away. He went to the other woman. If she was a GOOD person she would have told my father to go back to his family. But she didn't. My father cheated on my mother. I was 7 years old. And the HURT my family and i went through was UNBARABLE. This song makes me SICK. How could you feel bad for some one who is doing such a deceitful thing? HONESTLY what made you want to write a song like this?! WHY didn't you think about how much this would effect some one else. This is basically telling the man to go and LEAVE HIS FAMILY!! to go with the OTHER woman. THIS IS AN AWFUL EXCUSE FOR A COUNTRY SONG!
