Jamey performed 'Roll Me Up And Smoke Me' with Willie Nelson and an all star band featuring Zac Brown & Darius Rucker at the 2012 CMT Music Awards!
What a breath of fresh air to hear a true COUNTRY voice again. Can not wait to have you come to Canada. You are and will be more history in the making along side of all the greats.
I managed to be a "Seat Filler" for the CMT Awards Show. Most of the acts there were NON Country acts... drums & bass mixed up in your face... However, I enjoyed Willie Nelson this time as he had Jamey as one of the guests on stage. Too bad Jamey didn't appear officially during Fan Fest. Would be great if he came back next year... Always for REAL Country Music, with a nice steel guitar wailin' all the time... Best Wishes, Hank in SWEDEN
Great job, my Jamey!
I didn't see this performance til the day after the CMT Awards. I recorded it. I attended a Shooter Jennings party in honor of Waylon Jennings birthday instead. Luckily after he performed "Roll Me Up" at the CMT's he came out to Shooters party and performed a few songs. My 2 favorites were "Rules of the Bar" and "Luckenbach Texas". Afterwards, I walked outside and saw Jamey walking to his bus. I tried to get a picture with him but one drunk guy was hugging all over Jamey like they were best friends. Finally, Sheriff said enough. I did, however, get to shake his hand. Best 3 seconds of my life. I came back to the same bar the next day to have a beer and the guy behind the bar throws a pick on the bar and says "you want the pick Jamey played with last night?" Of course I said hell yea. The bartender told me the guy that got the pick the previous night dropped it. This is by far my favorite artist. Not just in country music, but artist. Thanks for everything you've given to country music. I hope you have a long career my friend. I still wouldn't mind having that picture though.
AWESOME LOVE IT LOVE IT <3 <3 <3
I love this! Great song!
LOVED IT!! THANK YOU!!!!
Wow, what a perfect combination of Guys singing together. Love it, love it. How about a tour like the Highway Men
Chills. For a moment I thought I had died and was in Country Music Heaven. This line up is a large portion of who I like to listen to (or spend money to see live) in Country Music. Outstanding.
