Roughstock.com had the pleasure of reviewing Lionel Richie and Shania Twain's version of "Endless Love".
There are so many ways that remaking “Endless Love” into a mainstream country music single could’ve gone wrong but after taking one listen to Lionel Richie’s collaboration with Shania Twain, all worries were eased. The melody wasn’t changed to benefit country music and when listening to Lionel’s songs like “Endless Love” (originally a duet with Diana Ross). Lionel’s songs are some of the best songs ever written and the R&B legend and modern pop pioneer has always written songs that fit country music.
Considered by Billboard as the best duet of all time, “Endless Love” is timeless and this update doesn’t change much but why mess with perfection.
