Jamey Johnson's Bonnaroo set proves country fans do flock to Manchester
Published by Dave Paulson

Leave it to Jamey Johnson to keep cool at Bonnaroo, even in some absolutely brutal heat. The country star wasn’t on the lineup for this weekend’s CMA Music Festival back in Nashville, but he gave the kids in Manchester a much-needed laid-back break from Sunday’s hectic musical happenings.
He was, unsurprisingly, a man of few words on That Tent's stage Sunday, but he raised his cup in a salute to his faithful fans before leading into his second song.
Johnson is one of several modern country stars making appearances Sunday, along with Miranda Lambert and Zac Brown Band — and we’re thinking they’ll fit the bill for 'Roo-goers attempting to wind down the weekend on a good note.
And for those who wondered whether Bonnaroo brings in any real-deal country music fans: Johnson let the crowd take the last chorus of his hit "In Color," and the crowd knew every word. So, yes.
