Here is what GAC has to say about Jamey Johnson and Lee Ann Womack:

June 1, 2009 — Will Jamey Johnson and Lee Ann Womack be recording a duet at some point?
Neither of them has suggested it as yet, but it wouldn’t be the biggest of surprises, especially after last week. The two were featured singing "Give It Away" on the CBS special "George Strait: Artist Of The Decade," taped in Las Vegas during April. They also performed together during a benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
The two are completely enamored of each other as artists.
Lee Ann is "arguably one of the best country voices of all time — not just female voices, I mean one of the best country voices of all time," Jamey says. "The power that comes out of that little woman is just astounding. She puts off an incredible energy. It was a real pleasure to get to sing with her."
"Jamey and I sort of draw on a lot of the same influences," Lee Ann adds. "I think he and I kind of understand each other musically. We both heard all those George [Jones] & Tammy [Wynette] and Conway [Twitty] & Loretta [Lynn] duets, and I think when we stepped up to the mics that night [in Vegas], we started drawing on our friendship and also on those influences, and it just came out something that was really, really special to us."
It’s quite possible Jamey and Lee Ann will lock voices again during the CMA Music Festival this month. They’re both scheduled to perform June 13 at Nashville’s LP Field during the event. Others on the bill that night include Trace Adkins, Martina McBride, Josh Turner and the Judds.
