Jamey Johnson - 2009 Grammy Award winner?
“In Color” by Jamey Johnson may have a chance at winning the Grammy for Best Male Country Vocal Performance, as well as Best Country Song.
Fans adore it. Both guys and girls are picking up their guitars, recording their own versions of it and rushing them onto YouTube.
There are some odds against it. He is not only relatively new with a smaller fan base than many country artists, but he has yet to manage to hit No. 1 with either an album or a single.
He has hit No. 1 as a songwriter, though. He co-wrote “Give it Away” by George Strait.
If Grammy voters were in the mood for a sentimental, acoustic ballad when they sat down to cast their votes, Jamey’s song could be this year’s sleeper that comes awake on Grammy night.
