HI Julianne,
I am glad to hear you came through surgery so well and are back to dancing so quickly.

I was really sad to read in PEOPLE magazine that your Dr's put you on a birth control pill to address the endometriosis. The problem is, those synthetic hormones are part of the CAUSE of the endometriosis. It creates Estrogen Dominance. And the best way I have found to reverse that is by using a bio-identical Progesterone Cream. That balances the estrogen and progesterone and it can clear up the Endometriosis.

I hope that you will be able to read up on this because it's going to help you feel better, maintain your fertility and live without endometriosis.

Hey Julianne! I am a huge fan of yours for your dancing and singing. I truly wish for you to have a quick recovery. I have a question for you...I am nineteen years old and when I was fifteen I started having abdominal pains. I read about your condition in PEOPLE magazine and I am not sure if I have what you had. It felt as if someone was stabbing me in the stomach through my lower back. I, too, experience very painful menstrual cramps. I went to the doctor when I was sixteen and he prescribed me with some medication. They pains stopped after a while, but then they returned. The pains are not as frequent anymore, but when they do come they hurt just as bad. The longest they have lasted was about forty-five minutes to an hour. Does this sound like what you had or am I being a bit paranoid?

Julianne, I am rooting for you and wishing you the best in your recovery from the recent surgery you had for endometriosis. I am just amazed at how you were able to dance the way you did on DWTS, 11-11-08. OMG, how can you be SO good, in such a short time?! It may not seem obvious to most ... but ... that's gotta hurt!! I can only say that you are a great inspiration and such a great role model. When Cody shed tears for you on the show, it was so obvious that he meant what he said ... that he really cared about you, and you knew how to bring the best out in him. Wow. I am so sorry that you have this disease. I hope everything went well, and you can be up on your feet in no time! And i do mean that literly. Be careful, and do everything your doctor tells you. I have missed you on "Dancing With the Stars!" I mean, Edyta's good and all, but you and Cody are both so young, and blonde. Youguys go great together. You are (or look like and you coulda fooled me) real friends! Also, Edyta doesn't smile the way you do. My mom and i have watched season 2 on and everytime i see you dance, your smile is infectious. I know what you're going through. I've been battling endometriosis for the last two years. For me, it started out with a misdiagnosis of food poisoning! I've had three laproscopic surgeries and I'm now on hormone therapy. I feel fantastic! I'm so happy that you went public with your diagnosis. Endometriosis affects so many women who don't even know they have it; you are in a position to shed some light on this disease. Thank you for your bravery.

Just wanted to take a moment this evening to wish you a continued speedy recovery.
I hope you get the chance to get out and vote tomorrow. As a Canadian I watch with
great interest the politics of the United States, and hope that either way the vote goes
tomorrow, both young and old Americans alike will take to heart the privilege of having

I was completely shocked by your news and was hoping I could catch you before your surgery. I can only hope and pray that they removed enough of the disease to give you a chance at a semblance of a normal life.

I think you are lucky and Blessed in so many ways. Your dancing and your wonderful first album, I was very very pleasantly surprised to hear how good you sound, are just a few examples. I think you are also so lucky that your diagnosis was made when you were this young,

I will keep you and all of your wonderful fans in my prayers. But I'm glad you didn't try to hide your head in the sand or suck your head in like a tortoise. I think the public needs to know more about this disease and sometimes the very few options some of us actually have or don't have because it was overlooked or misdiagnosed for so long,

In case you didn't guess, yes, I have it. A rather severe case actually.

Anyway, you rest up as best you can. If you have to sing sitting down on the 11th, then sit and be comfortable. There's no point in setting back your recovery.

I miss your smiles and moves already,

So I guess I'll go watch one of your videos.

Spread the word about ENDO - and get well and back to dancing!

You are such an inspiration to anyone suffering from this disease. I have a daughter who has fought it since she was 19 - she is one of the lucky ones since she had 2 handsome sons while suffering from Endo and before she was unable to have children. Your announcement was a brave thing to do in this world - you faced it head on and did not try to hide it from the public. The public NEEDS to know about this horrible disease that doctors are baffled by more times than not. Thank you for coming forward and sharing with the public, it had to have been hard but it is so important that women know about ENDO the same as they are aware of breast cancer.

I love your singing and have bought your CDs - your voice is as beautiful as you are and as your dancing is - what a talented family. Keep up all the hard work!

Get better and come back to DWTS as soon as the doctors will let you - but take it easy, we want to see you dancing for many more seasons. You have a wonderful talent of being able to teach all ages how to do the dances that you are given to do every week - what a talent you and your brother have, you make it look so easy and simple and I know from my ballroom dance classes that it isn't either!

I have also had endo for several years. I would recommend talking to your doctor about Depo-Prevera -- It has helped me to live my life pain-free. I had a lap. and then went on it after that, it's been 10+ years now that I have been on depo for, but I have a wonderful career and I was even able to go off/on it to try and have a baby. My little girl is now 6-years old -- there are some side-effects, but I get bone density tests every few years and so far it's well worth the risks. I hope you get back on your feet soon and find your cure to your pain.

I am thinking of you and your brother right now. My brother and I have followed close along life's path. I think of your brother having to watch you "grin and bear it ". My brother watched me dance every performance from the time I was 3 until 19 years of age. He would have big hugs, and congratulations after my performances and he would also have big hugs and many tears of pain when he watched me suffer through the daily pain of endometriosis. I am not going predict what the extent, or outcome, or severity, of your endometriosis may be. What I will say is that as a result of my endometriosis, I have learned to rely more on God's path(than my own), enjoy any pain free moments and thank God for giving me my brother's hand to hold. We are thinking of you.

As a fellow endo sufferer, I wish you the best. It is a difficult disease to have and it is life changing at times. I am so glad that your surgery went well and that you caught it in the early stages. Walk, Walk, Walk Walk after your surgery. It was the best way for me to recover. Do a lot of research and get a great specialists. You will be spending a lot of time with them. Find a support group or other people who have it so you have a place to vent. You have a really supportive family which will be a great help. There are millions of women out there to support you that have the disease. Maybe more women will get checked because of you. So many women don't realize they have it until it impairs their fertility as in my case. Good Luck!!!

Hi Julianne, my 10 year old daughter is probably your biggest fan. I just want to tell you to hang in there with your diagnosis. I was diagnosed with endo when I was 15 and I am now 37. I had 4 surgeries, went through 2 years of infertility treatments, and after 2 beautiful girls I finally had a hysterectomy at 29 years old. I have been pain free since then. Julianne, my daughter has Endometriosis too. The reason I'm writing you is to tell you to get informed. My daughter had surgery this past August for the second time. She had a surgery last year but most doctors don't know how get rid of the Endo., so her surgery was really useless. My daughter was on Lupron for 6 months and what a nightmare that was! Don't let them put you on that! Please see Dr. David Redwine's internet site. He's nearby.(Oregon) He is one of the best Endo Doctors in the Country. He'll tell you the real misconceptions many of the GYN.'s have. My daughter's second surgery was a success thanks to Dr. Robbins from Maine.( he and Dr. Redwine are colleagues.) Get well soon!

I did miss seeing you with Cody at the results show but you two made it through, which I knew you would, Julianne! I'm sure that you are feeling much better after the surgery. I want to thank you for deciding to tell people that you have endo. I had an emergency appendectomy when I was 23 and despite painful periods and other symptoms, didn't discover that I had endo until another emergency surgery 15 years later. That's when I discovered why I was unable to get pregnant. The lack of a proper diagnosis and treatment left me scarred, infertile and seriously depressed.

I know that you will bounce back from this quickly. And when you find a great doctor, they will help you to properly treat this condition and go forward with your life and dreams while also protecting your fertility. You are a heroine for letting people know what you are experiencing. This disease is not well known or researched but it affects millions of women across the world. Any light that can be shone onto this will help others and I hope, improve women's lives.

Get back on that dance floor and keep pursuing all of your dreams! You are an inspiration for us all. Please accept my warmest wishes for a quick recovery and fantatstic future.

I respect you so much for coming forward despite your advisers. This is so important for people everywhere to understand, Endometriosis must no longer be a hidden pain in secret. You have started something very powerful that will help gain greater awareness and respect for this condition that so many women suffer with everyday.

I feel your pain

I hop eyou get bettet soon. I just had surgery on the 17th with a severe case of endo. This was my 3rd surgery with this. I had to be put on the lupron shot last time which puts u in menopause. I had to do this for 4 months. I was 25 at the time. It was awful. Thankfully this time my doctor was able to cut it all out this time. I was at home recovering from my surgery watching when you annouced that you also had this and had to have surgery. My heart went out to you but also I felt comforted knowing that someone famous also has this condition. I don't know many women with this and it helps to know that i am not alone. Although I don't wish this one anyone. Also I think that people dont understand the pain we go through on a daily basis and think you are making it up. When I went back to work People actually understood my condition better because of you. Thanks for the comfort and i hope you get bettter soon.

I am glad that you came through your surgery and are feeling better. I was sad to hear you had been diagnosed with Endo. I suffered many years without being diagnosed. I started getting hot flashes in my 20's and it escalated from there. Fortunately I had a child when I was 20 before the Endo wreaked havoc on my reproductive system. I wanted to have another child, but I was not able to get pregnant. I did not know why until many years later. After suffering horrible pain and extreme bleeding for many years and seeing several gynecologists.....I finally saw a wonderful doctor who was determined to figure out what was wrong with me and stop my suffering. At 48 after exploratory surgery I was diagnosed with Endo. I had a full hysterectomy and I no longer suffer. I hope that you do not have to continue to suffer with Endo.

My husband and I enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars and you are clearly at the top of the list of our favorite dancers. Love your dancing and your music! You are super talented! All my best to you.

Julianne, my heart sank when you said that you are suffering with Endometriosis. I've had 5 surgeries for this. I'm 33 years old. I go the best Doctors in Houston, TX. Don't let anyone talk you into a hysterectomy - there are other options that aren't that bad. They are finding now that hysterectomies do not always cure this disease. You will be fine. I will keep you in my prayers and I feel your pain. I PRAY that God will use this in a positive way by raising awareness to this disease. You are an inspiration to us all! I too, like many other posters suffer from ENDO. I started my period very late, I was 18... Yet figured because I was SO active in sports it held it back.. I would get it maybe 2/3 times a year and never thought much of it. One random night (not too long after my first period) I had crippling pain, and could barely get out of bed. I stayed in a fetal position for 3 days, until my parents forced me to get up and go to school. I went to school in crippling pain, and eventually about a week later the pain went away. I had my first gyno visit and she insisted I was pregnant (at 18 years old, that was scary, yet i knew it couldnt be). Of course the test was negative and she told me to go on Birth control pills and it would take it away.
Off to college I went...spent almost every other month in the ER with ovarian cysts, and they never detected ENDO. 3 Years later while at work, I started to bleeding, and it was bad. Then it randomly stopped. I immediatly went to the Dr, and they admitted me to the hospital worrying about my appendix. I was released being told to see a Gastro Doctor, because I had IBS... I knew that was wrong. That was Memorial Day weekend of 2002.
Spending week after week in Pain and In the Dr's office, fourth of July 2002 my Gyno decided it was time to have exploritory surgery. Admitted to the hospital once again, surgery was preformed and the outcome was- Endo, They had to remove a fallopian tube (the ENDO had destroyed it) they removed my appenix, tested it, and it came back positive. My doctor advised me that it would be better to have children in my late 20's and be done no later than 32. I worried all the time about it, knowing I only had one fallopian tube, and what happened if the same thing came back.
2008 (I will be 27 in November)- I have a beautiful 8 month old son... Was it an easy road getting pregnant-no, it took me 2 years, but it happened.
You will be FINE, and BABIES will happen (even if it takes a little help from a Doctor).
Get WELL soon, and keep your head high! I wish there was more info on ENDO out there for girls/women.

I don't really watch the show because my daughter is in many sports and keeps us busy but I did catch ET and saw that you have endo.. Its no picnic in the park but it'll be ok. I have a daughter. She is perfectly fine.. Just started her period last year and she doesnt get them like I started off having them. I puked for 2 days at the beginning of every month and missed school. It was awful. DO NOT GO ON LUPRON..The Doctors will try to talk you into it.. its a nightmare. my entire system is screwed up from it. I was 25 when I was diagnosed with endo and was put on lupron at 30. the hotflashes. WEIGHT GAIN uhh.. dont do it... birth control helps a lot and eating proper foods and eliminating certain things. It'll be ok. could be worse ya know. Stay strong and dont go on unnecesary meds.. TRUST ME.. As far as the no babies thing. when they are meant to be here they will be here. Don't worry about that. It will happen when the time is right. try to cut soy out of your diet.. Good luck hun..

Hi Julianne.....A Dancer, Singer and Endo Sufferer
We both have much in common. I too am a singer, retired dancer, and suffered horribly with endometriosis. Unfortunately I wasn't one of the lucky people that you have read about. I hope and pray that your story ends up differently. I had several lap surguries, cautarizations, was put through menopause when I was 27 and had a hysterectomy when I was 29. I was not one of the fortunate ones, and was never able to have children. I held on as long as I could but the pain was unbearable and went from a monthly pain, to a dayly one. I noticed that another writer asked how your doctor knew that you had endo without having surgery? I too, would like to know that answer. I have done a lot of research on the subject and the only way that I know of to find the proper diagnosis, is exploratory surgery. I am 40 now and no longer dance, due to too many knee injuries, but know the pain of what you are suffering. I do believe that we need someone that the world knows, to be a spokesperson to this horrible disease. Unfortunately there are many of us that suffer, but most of us do not have the option or be of any significance to stand up and be a spokesperson for this disease. Unfortuantely, unless you are famous, nobody wants you as a spokes person for anything. So it may be a blessing in disguise that someone that is famous and well known, such as yourself to stand up for the rest of us.
I am sorry that you have this disease but it may be something great for other survivors. Now we may have a voice that is willing to stand up for us, bring awareness to this disease which in the end will help all woman that now have endo and the ones that will follow. I pray that this is the last incident that you have with endo, but I do hope that you use your experience to help other woman.

how in the hect did Julianne or her doctor find out that she had endo.?? Everything I have read and researched says one only finds out they have this dreaded disease by surgery?? It is not detected by x-rays , CT's or any medical tests???
I have endo and went for months with numerous tests before I had exploratory surgery and finally they found it?? Julianne how did you find out?

I hope you get well soon! I will miss seeing you on DWTS while you are gone but i will still vote for Cody when he is with Edyta. Me and my best friend wore our concert t-shirts my sisters got us at the Paisley party with you on it today and at dance yesterday. I feel horrible for both you and Cody he looked on the verge of tears when you announced that he may dance with Edyta for a little while.
