Jamey Johnson on the impact of "In Color"
Jamey Johnson’s debut single with Mercury Records, “In Color,” is climbing the charts and impacting people everywhere. The song paints a vivid picture of memories past and even makes Jamey nostalgic: “I think it’s impacted a lot people, hopefully in a good way. Some people are going to be missing relatives that aren’t here any more and it wasn’t designed to do that. It was the kind of song that, for me, it makes me think about all that advice my papa gave me years ago. And with him not being here anymore, how much more I should have listened while he was here. He was trying to teach me something, he was trying to tell me something. I was probably too young then or had too much stuff going on and it probably went in one ear and out the other. And these days I find myself missing him more and more. And I think this song kind of helps bring me back together with him a little.” Hear Jamey tell it.
